Juicey juicing diet day 1

Hey guys,
I know its been a long while since I've posted and Im sorry. I'm actually here to share that I am on a juicing detox. Dave and I are doing it together and its only been one day. I have to say I feel bad. Everyone says the first three to four days are the worst. I can't wait to feel better. It all started with watching a documentary a couple of months ago called fat, sick and nearly dead. If you haven't seen it yet go watch it it puts everything you eat into perspective. The fact is I am addicted to junk food and I love it so much, I'm finding it really hard not to just grab some junk food.
It's going to take some time to change for the better. I'm just glad that I have somewhere to put all my thoughts on the matter thanks for reading
Oh by the way if you decide to do juicing do not forget to add ginger xx I actually forgot to put ginger in my lunch juice and its vile. Maybe I'll try it tomorrow with ginger xxxx

Masculine Card

Hello Fellow Cardmakers

Today I have a lovely card to share with you. One that I'll give to a boy. Masculine cards can be quite tricky. I just went for a simple and easy card.

Masculine cards can be hard to make especially when you're used to blinging everything and choosing girlie colours. Masculine cards tend to be plain and simple. especially for beginners like me. colours are important too. Blues yellows Greens Reds Oranges Browns are common in masculine cards. The patterned paper used are more plain and simple, lines instead or swirls dots or circles instead of flowers. These are just some tips to help you guys with masculine cards. I hope it helps a little with your guy cards in the future.

First I got some backing paper and adhered it to my base with my ATG gun. I cut out the access using my tonic scissors. I grabbed some toppers from my stash and picked one I thought would be suitable. its tricky trying to find something not feminine especially when it comes to forever friends. They are so cute. I just hope this guy isn't too cute.

I used some PVA glue to stick my topper down and got some white card stock and stamped my sentiment with memento tuxedo black in. I stuck it to the top of my card. I love how plain this card looks and I hope the recipient will be happy with it.

The simplicity of this card is nice. Boys tend to not really care for bling or other accents on their cards. I bet any guy would be happy to receive this card

That's all for now

Cute Card

Hello and welcome to my blog today.

I have a cute card to share with you. I first got some white card and used my Fired Brick distress ink on it. I then stamped some poppies in Versamark ink and used Zing clear embossing powder and then used my heat tool. I love this technique and got it from Britta swiderski. Her videos and blog are amazing. If you've never heard of her go check her out on Youtube and on the website. She is so inspirational.

I bought a stamp a few months ago. when I saw it I had to have it. It was just so cute. I have no idea who the maker is or even what the stamp is called but I think it's just adorable. If anyone does know what company made this stamp I would love to know leave a comment below please.

I stamped the image using memento Tuxedo black ink and coloured it in using my promarkers. I didn't want to cut out the image as it looked difficult to get all the image without bending or ripping the card. so I decided to cut out a arch pattern. I coloured the background using a neutral colour  promarker. I stuck the image onto my distress inked background.

For the sentiment I used a stamp and coloured the background with some vintage photo distress ink. I then stuck some self adhering gems on one side. I stuck the sentiment onto the background and then the background onto some black card stock.

I thought the card needed a little something so I got out my marabou feathers and stuck two behind the image using glue. I love using marabou feathers. It gives the card that little extra texture.

I think this card turned out fantastic and I'm really happy with it. Please leave a comment below telling me what you think of this card. I would love to hear from you, be it good or bad.

Well that's it for now

Quick and Simple Butterfly Card

Hello Fellow Card Makers,

Thank you so much for stopping by today.

I've finally found some time to write a blog post. Time just flies by I have no idea where the time has gone. I've been doing some overtime at work and playing computer Games. The Sims 4 was released a while ago and I've been playing that a lot.

Today I have a quick card to share with you. I love making these cards as they can be made quite quickly so if you have a tendency to forget a birthday or not have any on hand to give. It's easy to make.

I used purple cardstock for my base and scored it with my Martha Stewart scoreboard and  bonefolder. I used some patterned paper and stuck it to the base with my ATG gun. I used my sizzix big shot and a die to cut out a image of a butterfly. I stuck the body of the butterfly onto the card stock leaving the wings to be able to come away from the card. It gives it a little depth to the card.

I got an old ready made sentiment from when I first started and went over the edges with a purple Promarker. I adhered it to the card with my ATG gun. I felt the card needed something else so I got some self adhering gems and stuck three onto my card

I love how cute and simple this card looks. It's nice to have a few cards like this to give to people when you forget birthdays. I also would recommend not putting a sentiment on it until you know who you're going to give it to. I have a few sentiments ready made for cards. I can pick one when it's needed and write in the card straight away ready to give.

Please leave a comment below, I would love to hear from you

A little shopping spree

Hello everyone,
I have been a little naughty and bought a few distress inks. I needed a few to finish my set. When I got onto the website where I buy my distress inks I found that ranger has bought out 4 new colours. Three of them were out if stock so I decided not to buy them ones just yet.

I filled my basket with all the ones I needed and looked at the price. I closed my eyes while clicking the submit order button. I find that by doing this I don't really feel bad about buying a lot in one go. I do it when buying stamps too. If I didn't see myself doing it I can't be judged.

I told Dave about buying them all and you should have seen his face when I told him how much it came to. He just doesn't understand why I need all these colours.

It is kind if like an addiction. When I love a product and love using them for crafting I do tend to go a bit bonkers and have to have every colour there is. It also happened with my promarkers. I told myself it was a brilliant deal and got all of them in one go.

Do you have a addiction like this for crafting products?
Do you have to buy the lot because you can't choose only one?
Please leave a comment below so I know I'm not the only one that goes a little overboard when it comes to buying products for crafting

Thank you for stopping by today I really appreciate it

Just a little something

Hey Fellow Crafters,

I know it's been almost a month since my last post and I'm really sorry. Trying to find some inspiration is a little hard these days.
I've had a lot of stuff to be getting on with. It was Dave's Gran's 90th birthday. We went up to have a meal. It was lovely to see his family. Then it was Dave's birthday. Then his parents came for a visit. Then it was my friends birthday. Along with a that I was getting so stressed at work that I couldn't find enthusiasm or motivation to do some card making. Everything is going okay at work now and I've just let the stress go. No point in worrying.
So I am hoping to be back in my crafting room soon and finding inspiration so I'll be card making until I run put of supplies. Lol.
What do you guys do when there's no inspiration. Any tips or tricks to get the crafting juices flowing please leave them in the comment's below. I would love to hear from you.

Well that it for now thanks for stopping by

Valentine's Card Series 2015 No. 8

Happy Valentines Everyone.

This will be the last Valentine's card in the series this year. I hope you all have a brilliant weekend and enjoy your Valentine's day whether it be with a loved one or not because everyone can enjoy the day.

Today I have a card to share with you. I used card stock from the Papermill and scored it using my Martha Stewart 12" score board. I used some backing paper from Dovecraft paper pack to cut into strips and I stuck them to my card stock with my ATG.

I used a heart stamp from Hero Arts and stamped it with Versamark ink. I used aqua marine heat it up embossing powder. Then used my heat tool to melt it. I used my patterned scissors along the edges. I used Milled Lavender Distress ink to soften the edges against the card stock.

For the sentiment I used my embossing pen to do the I and U. The love sentiment is by a sentiment in Papersmooches A Holly Holiday stamp set. I used silver embossing powder for the I and U and I used red Embossing powder for the love. I cut the sentiment out with my fiskars paper trimmer to get the lines straight. I used milled lavender around the edges and stuck it to my card with foam adhesive. I added some red dash lines with my gel pen around the whole of the card to bring it all together.

I love how this card turned out.  The colours would make it perfect to give to a guy for Valentines day. It's not too feminine for a guy but could even be given to a girl as well. I love making a card for both genders.

Thank you so much for visiting my blog today. Feel free to leave a comment below. I would love to hear from you.
